Yuletide Feast

Christmas dinner at Auntie Pat's last night, and this was what my plate looked like.

Pretty festive-looking right? It's been a while since I've partaken in a traditional xmas feast. Stayed there til midnight talking to all the aged 20 and up. Was the only one (still) underaged to drink. Theoretically. Had 3 desserts; fondue, logcake and traditional yuletide pudding w whipped cream.
And yes! Speix is right! The countdown to xmas 2010 henceforth BEGINS!!

Joyeux Noël

Merry Christmas you all! Some photos that had been in my phone for too long, felt like it was time to take them out.
So I was back at RGS last Wed, and even though the graduating batch of '09 is nowhere to be seen in person around its grounds, it still remain evident that we once walked those grey corridors like our successors will for many glorious years to come.
LOOK! It's the 130 collage of photos from SLI rehearsals :D

Upon looking closer at the singular photographs... I spot a VERY familiar face!

Okay that's me. Rehearsals were before trng.

One thing to strike off my wishlist! Erjie bought Havaianas Slim Metallic in Peacock Gold/Chocolate from Perth for me! Yayy I loveeeee my sister. And my neu slippers!

Holographic nailz! I love them, will wear them until the school term starts.

Piknik in Christine's basement with Veron, Chels, Chrissy's two lil sisters Audrey and Elizabeth and her two rabbits! Surprise breakfast we cooked fr Chrissy at 7am in the morning! Followed by Cluedo and rounds and rounds of Mahjong. It was fantastic (:

I swear Brownie (foreground, duh) stopped to pose for my camera (okay, phone) for this shot!

At Parkway for lunch with the family today. Saw this kid with this balloon, then voiced out my request for daddy to get me one (it was a joke of course, and so I eventually didn't get it D:)!

Ahh hungry. How's everyone's Christmas dinner?

YSLCHANEL

I know cage heels are so 2009, but I still think it looks absolutely wonderful, and the laced foil wedges are just so futuristic (:

jak&jil

Sorry I cannot hear you, I'm kinda busy.
I HAVE been busy lately; p6 gathering, NSSN, shopping too much, dad's office, Chrissy-poo's birthday, coffee with Mrs Ho (whee!!), RJ training tomorrow. Ahh tired.
Homg I'm leaving for HK in less than 2 weeks. AM NOT PREPARED.

LUSHIE

Went to RJ early in the morning today to submit HK trip docs, meanwhile fun time with Tessa Jiali and CherylFang talking, being mean about people's names.
Then Cheryl bailed ): and I was left to go to lunch with the rest of the seniors. Was nice overall, but hey, I'm still the newbie.
I'm a NEW FAN OF Lush!! Their amazing products are 'Fresh Homemade Cosmetics', ranging from body soaps, shampoos, shower gels to fragrances and skincare creams. But here's the twist: the packaging is like no other. I've never felt this tempted to take a creamy, buttery teeth-sink out of anything used to clean myself before, but you won't blame me after you've seen why:

Lush buttercreams in (l - r) Lemslip, Heavenly Bodies and A Ring of Roses

Lush shower jellies in (l - r) Whoosh, Joy of Jelly and Sweetie Pie

You get the point.
After raving so much about make-up products and clothes on this blog, I guess now we know what makes this industry so lucrative, esp when most of its successes revolve around aesthetics, which, needless to say, appeals greatly to the masses.
Sad to say, I am a member of these masses. I have to confess that I am a huge fan of colour, and I love analysing different shades and textures (wherever applicable), becos more dimensions just give you more choices, which, put together, could yield beautiful products (:
Lush is available in HK, just as H&M (over-rated/ -priced!) is, so yeyyy I hope we can drop by for a sniff/bite.
More to add to the festive wishlist:

7. Lush Body Gel in Yummy yummy yummy

Becos it looks and sounds damn yummy. I am a strawberry fan!

8. OPI Bright Nights Collection: My Private Jet

OPI My Private Jet (ext right)

Omg holographic nail colour, I didn't think that was possible considering all those application complications.
I am completely entranced by the wonders of cosmetics and skincare products on the market now.

GALLIANO

I think John Galliano is amazing.

The creative director of Christian Dior was asked by luxury London hotel Claridge's to design a festive tree. Haha trust him to provide a twist to the traditional Norwegian fir!

WT HV WE HRE

The Christmas season has arrived, and you know what that means! (: Basically this is my holiday wishlist.

1. Havaianas Slim Metallic Print Peacock in Purple/Gold

spoiled pretty
I spotted these at the Havaianas standalone store at Ion, and I can testify that they look x100 more beautiful and covetable in the flesh. Or rubber. edit/HAVE THEM! Thanks Jie (:

2. M.A.C Frost Lipstick in Odyssey (Spiked-Up Plum)

Recently been loving purple lips. 'Nuff said. Mom recently got this, still waiting for it to fly home from Down Under!

3. O.P.I. Fall 09 Suede Nail Lacquer in Russian Navy/Ink

vampy varnish
I think I have enough nail colours, but I have none like this ^! At Sephora they display a whole rack of the O.P.I nail lacquers, and me, being someone who is naturally drawn to colour, spent AGES analysing the colours. Am loving everything in their Fall 09 Suede collection.

4. For my Sephora Liner Electro in Electro Night to heal! ):

5. JLPT L2 cert

6. Good break

blue danube holidays
It's been my lifelong dream to visit a Christmas market, just like this one in Germany. Not that xmas in sgp isn't satisfying (the carollers along Orchard last year? Foam parties -- which've been banned anyway) but the snow, cold and lil towns steeped in the xmas spirit... I think it feels very much different from it does here, and I want to experience that.

Gotta love lists. Order is my favourite thing.

GONE SHOPPING

Ode to Nana/Room 707. I love my dress (:

Street shopping yesterday was WONDERFUL! I had no idea street shopping (namely dresses going at $30-odd) would appeal so much to me. Of course yesterday I escaped with something from Topshop. Speix is such a fantastikal shopping buddy, cos she sez everrrything is 'NAICE', and that 'I LOVE IT', complete with wide eyes and retarded grin. Of course then me thinks I HAZ TO GETZ IT. Then the purse pops open.
Topshop drop shoulder button back crop top + checkered dress + some flimsy splatter top/dress + a cross between a messenger and satchel = WHEEE.
I'm not going to shop until next year, so don't expect presents from me.

Too pretty to eat!

FAREWELL ALMA MATER

Oh my gosh. I had no idea how tired I was from FAM. The night was overrated, I think, so everything that happened was all pretty much just... okay.
My camera playback listed 144 photos that night, and the morning after. It was wonderful to go around snapping shots of long-lost friends, gathering people for group photos...
I'm glad we had a room for the night at Orchard Parade (: I'm so happy to have spent my first prom night with the most wonderful, lovely batch EVER. I'm going to miss RGS so much.

Table toast!

Rgtennis with Mrs Alfie!

SPSB 09!

I love Christmas so damn much.

RUN-UP TO PROM

The past few days have been the most fantastic, shopping, being with friends, wandering around and annoying people with my excessive tweeting :D I COULD get used to life like this (:
Arts Fest was the BEST! Not forgetting RGS Nite of course, I wish they'd make it an annual affair again, it really brings the school together. I remember belting my lungs out singing From High Olympus at the end, and really throwing out the window thoughts of possibly being caught in the rain/getting a bad throat the next day (which I DID), but YAYYY.
Friday, shopped a bit with Pris April Simmy Priya Danny, decided on a whim to get pedicures before heading down to UCC for RGS Nite... We took 20min I think, just to choose what colours we wanted. O.P.I has too many! I picked an iridescent teal, Danny currently LOVES her brilliant royal blue and Apes her luminscent pink.
Saturday, headed out in the evening to shop with Danny @ Vivo, finally got my shoes after much much consideration, downed lots of iced tea for the throat but that didn't help. BK outdoors was really good, I'm so glad to have Danny as a friend though we have VASTLY different personalities.
Sunday, headed out AGAIN in the evening after Speix tweeted that she wanted to go makeup shopping. FUN TTM, we spent 30min or so (I don't know, the brilliance of everything made us feel like we were in a time warp) at SEPHORA :D Gazing at all the beautiful palattes, and other really innovative things, I could totally live in there. I think, glitter liner is something I could live the rest of my life with :D M.A.C. is out of stock for matte lipstick in Lady Danger ISLANDWIDE, sorry Speix ):
AND AGAIN, yesterday, I finally bought myself new shopping sandals! Really draws the eye to my feet, I think with the mirrored-ness and ankle straps. Happy (:
I feel like making a list of.
Okay, I don't know.
I've always liked making lists.

RGS Nite, curtain call

2 GOODBYES IN 1 DAY = TOO SAD

I really am going to miss RGS, my second home for the past four years (which have been nothing short of phenomenal, btw), and mind you I actually spend more time in school than home, not counting the hours I sleep.
Navy pinafores, signature folded cuffs on our white blouses, green + white ribbons in our hair, CCA and house captains with presents in hand, we marched into the amphitheatre to Viva la Vida (thanks to Darrell dear!) as the graduating batch of secondary fours 2009.
Of course we all remember sitting just where the sec threes were yesterday, thinking, oh my gosh, that's us next year. I see 'next year' has arrived, in my opinion, all too soon. Though it isn't going to be a full-fledged goodbye, moving on to RI next year and all, but of course there will be new blood in our midst. I'm not saying I mind them (how can I, when they fully deserve the place they got?), but things are going to be different, without a doubt.
The same with RGtennis. Yesterday was too sad and too fun all at once (I thought I was going to explode from feeling so many things), I'm going to miss my RGtennis girls so much, they really are the BEST juniors in the world. I literally 'watched them grow', and from, in Sab's words, 'weird, strange, and weirdly strange' sec ones, they blossomed beautifully into well, fantastic people. Piks up mostly on Fb, but some highlights here:
